UMSL WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATED IN SEASON OPENER

TIFFIN, OHIO, August 29, 2008 - A goal by Tiffin's Shelly Rogers in the 72nd minute lifted the host Dragons to a 2-1 victory over the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team Friday evening in the season opener for both teams. Junior Danielle Dahm knotted the score at 1-1 with an unassisted goal in the 56th minute after Tiffin took an early 1-0 lead 19 minutes into the contest. The Tritons landed all seven shot attempts on goal, but struggled to get past Tiffin goalie Abby Grieser. UMSL senior Mary Behrmann recorded four saves, playing all 90 minutes, between the posts. The Dragons attempted 11 shots, landing six on goal. Dahm finished the game with two shot attempts.
