ST. LOUIS, MO., September 12, 2008 – Despite out shooting its opponent 13-6, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision to Drury Friday night in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener for both teams at Don Dallas Field. The Panthers scored twice in the first 20 minutes and never looked back en route to the victory. The loss drops UMSL to 3-1-1 on the season, while Drury improved to 3-0. Senior Colin Huber put UMSL on the board with his third goal of the season in the 37th minute on a rebound off the Panther's goalie, but the Tritons were unable to find the back of the net in the rest of the game. The Tritons landed seven shots on goal in the game, compared to five by the Panthers. Huber and freshman Johnny O'Mara paced the Tritons with two shots each. Senior Mike Bober played all 90 minutes in goal, recording three saves. UMSL returns to action Sunday, traveling to Rockhurst in another GLVC contest at 2:30 p.m.
